15 year old & 18 Year old

Hi, well im a 15 year old female in texas and im talking to this 18 year old male who will be 19 in december and I wont be 16 till april! So i was wondering if it would be illegal to date. We will not be having sexual relations, were just a bit scared about the age difference. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE?? is it illegal for me and him to be together?

What does a 15 year old have in common with an 18 year old? It is only a 3 year age difference, and when you're 21 and he's 24 it won't be such a leap, but 15 and 18, might as well be a 30 year gap maturity wise. Why is he even interested in a 15 year old?

You say that sex won't be an issue, are you sure, because I have never met an 18 year old boy that is willing to date someone with whom he has no chance of having sex with. Something to think about.

Good luck.
