Dancing for a career ? Does it make good money ?

I have been dancing for about 3 years now, i started at the age of 13. I am very good at performing infront of large audiences and i enjoy dancing alot. I really want a career in it but i dont know what kind of possibilities there are for dancing jobs out there. I either wanted to have my own studio and teach coreography, or be a proffesional backup dancer. I am mostly expierienced in HIPHOP dancing, im currentley in teen hiphop level 3. But i am thinking about doing Jazz and Possibly acro, i am very quick at learning coreography, and i am good at teaching it. I can dance pretty well, and i attend freedom studios, i just hope there is some type of job out there that i could do, because i want to be able to have a job but also enjoy it, please help if you know anything about jobs to do with dance, or the type of money they pay etc; thanks.

two things for you
there is a motto:find something you love to do and you will never work a day in you'r life
i would encourage you to pursue dance but alot like a professional athlete,or any performer have a back up plan, pursue business managment or anything you think will help with a dance studio

Hi, babeygurl_08!

If you go to college and study what they would like for you to do in dancing, you'll be more likely to make connections and to get a job doing that. You'll also get more respect from people in places where you can audition for dancing parts because you've had some formal training.

Thanks!
