Congratulations. It was nice of Ryan Howard to show up last night for one at bat during this series.

and I was beginning to wonder why the Yanks didn't get it that they could pitch around Utley to get to Howard.

Is it any surprise that the bought and paid for team won?? What's surprising, is that they had to work for it.

I thought that MLB had provisions that prevented somebody from stacking their team. Guess not. Why are steroids a big deal, and this isn't?

Course, I don't expect YOU to give me a good answer. You're a New Yorker.

I'm almost insulted there was any doubt the Yankees would win. This is their 27th win afterall And after the Phillis kicked the Rays butts last year, this was a much sweeter victory! (Always been a Yankees fan, but the Rays are my hometown team!)

If it were a matter of them winning because they are a "bought and paid for" team, then they'd have many more World Series wins under their belts. Not to mention the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are almost the complete opposite of a "bought and paid for" team yet they made it to the world series and stood a real chance of winning.

You clearly were rooting for the Phillies, but no need to be a poor sport. They can try again next year.
