| | | This is *IT* And to think it took Obama 20 L-O-N-G years to disassociate himself from this man! 20 years! But has he really?! Not two months or two years but **Twenty** years of this. Imho the messages would be well ingrained into one's way of thinking by now! Think about it, what still carries over into Obama's way of thinking from all of this, no matter what he would say to us now that he's running for prez! People do not tend to forget what they have learned 20 years ago and especially from the not-too-distant past. It could be very dangerous thinking -- not good for this country! Yet people seem to be buying into Obama's argument that he just didn't know what he was saying! Please! Fortunately, not all people are fools to fall for that. That's just plain rubbish! |

| Yes! It's "bravo" to Rev Wright! Since you continue to bring up religion with politics, why don't you prove why the Revs wrong??? I think honesty for this country is refreshing. Did you think Native Indians and African Americans were treated fairly judging from the history of the United States??? |

| The best lies are done with truth.
Rev Wright makes it a black/white race issue when in fact there are many whites in the same predicament. Agent orange, AIDs and many other things the government is said to have 'caused' has affected just as many whites if not more. If Rev Wright was being honest and fair then he would make it a government against the average people.
I don't even think it is a Dem vs Rep so much as a government vs us thing |

| The government that the majority of people supported for hundreds of years and "yes" it was a black/white issue. Civil rights is still ongoing today although we've come a long ways. The same government that sent Indians packing on the Trail of Tears while most applauded. It took a civil war to free the enslaved African Americans from being treated like beasts of the fields. |

| it may have been a black/white issue but as long as we keep it as a black/white issue it is going to be a problem. I am just saying Rev Wright would get a lot more support if he didn't make it all against black. I think if he pointed the finger at the wrongs the government has done to the nation as a whole he would do a lot better. |

| It's going to be problem as long as we ignore others. Blacks traditionally had no other choice, but to address issues at church. They often do so today. See you're asking them to be as Whites, but that's not reality. Why is that myself being Jewish relates to Christian history, both Black and White, moreso than Christians? |

| I think 'hate America' and some of the other stuff he said is rather a bit extreme.
I am not meaning them to be as whites or religions relating. I am just saying Yes the Tuskegee guys suffered horribly but the Agent Orange suffers did to. I don't think it is a plot against blacks specifically even though they suffered way more than their share.
He is focused on blacks wronged but often when you focus on how you are wronged you tend to stay the victim. Whereas many blacks have not gone along with listening to the message of victimization and they have come a long way like Colin Powell, Condoleza, Oprah, Montel, Tiger Woods. Many of them are accused of 'selling out to whitey.
I heard that Booker T. Washington had a really interesting perspective on this but I have not been able to find it on the internet. |
