NYS probationer questions! Early Release future jobs?

I was arrested at 18 for CSCS 3rd, or criminal sale. I was given y/o status, served 4 months and was given 5 years of probation.

I have been on probation for 40 months now, with no failed drug tests, violations or new charges. I have recieved a few speeding tickets, but no new charges or anything. I have worked full time and have only 1 semester left till i get my associates in business.

I have 2 questions. The first is i am trying to go to a school out of state, and that school (private) has told me that they would accept me when i was done with my probation. i really want to go to this college, and im not sure what i need to do to go.
I have asked my PO about early release, and the answers are vauge. My ex gf's mom is a po in a different county and she told me all i need to do is 40 out of 60 months, with no problems and complete all my requirenments. I have done all of that . Can i get off of probation early or unsupervised so i can go away to school. The school is in NC, i live in NY.

My second question is can i become a lawyer? I know i have the abilities and the desire, but i am not sure about the moral character section of the BAR exam.

any help is greatly appreciated.

MS

Hello ms:

Ask your PO for the written policy and procedures manual for his department. In it, you should find a paragraph on early release, and the criteria for it. You should meet it. If you do, make a formal written request to the DEPARTMENT, not your PO. TELL them that you meet the criteria spelled out in such and such paragraph.

A request formed in this way will be very hard to turn down.

In terms of the BAR. I dunno what CSCS 3rd is. If it's a crime involving "moral turpitude" you may very well NOT qualify for the bar.

from what i see on wiki as defining moral turpitude my crime does not qualify, Also happening before 18, with my Youthful Offender status may also disqualify my crime.
