I think this is a situation of someone pinning their mistake on someone else
Today I have to go with my husband to the state police station to ''turn himself in''for a crime that he didn't commit.I will explain.Three years ago my husband worked for Amtrak.Since then they have replaced a lot of people on the railroad and had issues with their lack of funds and mistakes that were made by previous employees. The state police came here yesterday and said they didn't have a warrant issued and he can come down on his own today. They claim he will be arrested for larceny for money that wasn't handed in.We have no idea what they're talking about. The investigator said all he has to do is admit he is guilty and they can process him and get him arranged on a court date.I am not going to let him plea guilty to a charge we know nothing about. Also the charge is larceny and, this could follow him forever.I think they are trying to trick him into paying money to Amtrak to replenish some of their mistakes.I also need some information of the law pertaining to larceny and the statue of limitations so I have a solid argument with these investigators today.

Please retain an attorney as soon as possible on this. Your husband should not talk to them but talk to an attorney. Unless they have a warrant for his arrest he should not just go down to the station, etc.

    Hello j:

Twinkie is absolutely correct. If you go, you'll be entering the lions den. If they had enough, they'd have a warrant. They don't. That's what they want your husband to do - snitch on himself so that they can arrest and charge his butt.

DO NOT GO. Go instead, to a criminal lawyers office!!
