| I think im going to be screwed.
HI, I live in Maine.. I was recently charged with Endangering The Welfare Of A Child And Obstrucing A Police INvestiation. I am 20 years old. And some of my friends are underage. This is what happend. I walked down to the library with my roommate and we we met up with my friend Jessie * she is 14* And my Friend Gracie *she is 16* So anyways I asked jessie what was wrong. She proceeded to tell me that her mom the night before had thrown a mirror at her.. And it broke.. Me being from a past of abuse, asked her if she was allright and if she needed anything. She stated she was cold. In the room at the librbary with me was Jessie Nick Gracie Fletch and some girl who i learned her name was Sarah, So i invited jessie and Gracie back to my house and so everyone in the room took it as a invite. so on my way to my appartment i notice that everyone was comming so i said what ever in my head. So we got to my house and we where having a good time laughing and joking.. I had recived a phone call from my then bf and so i went into my bedroom.. prior to that i had made a joke saying that if the cops showed up all minors go into the eves /crawlspace and we all laughed. So at this point In my house was Me,20 esther 18, Jeff 19, NIck 18, Sarah 19, Gracie 15, and Jessie. So I finished with my phone call and Then I walked back into my living room. Where i heard sarah say I dont like the way this convo is going so she left. At this point. I took it with a grain of salt, Not knowing that she was going to call the police. So i hear a knock on my door and so i go down the stairs to answer it. It was the police looking for jessie. She had skipped school. So I brought them into my house and by the time i was heading up the stairs with the cops, Jessie and gracie where in the eves. I got scared and when they asked me where they where i said they whernt here. They cuffed me and then asked me if they where in the house. I again said no. They starting to search for them.. They found them and then i was taken to jail. I was then charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Which in my eyes I dont see that i did. and then i was chared with Obstructing a police investiation. I am going to plead Guilty to Obstructing the investation becuase i did. But I want to plead not guilty to the Endangering thing.. What are peoples opion and what should i do. In my state Both of these charges are misdeanors which is good thing for me. But i will be screwed out of having foster kids. and kids in general.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
