theft under 5000 second offence

i was caught stealing make up totalling about 10.00 a year ago. the store just talked to me and no police were called. i was caught stealing decorations totalling about 10.00 just recently. the police were called and i have to get my fingerprints taken go to court. will i go to jail?

No you wont go to jail for that small amount, but sounds like you have a problem you cant control and it should be dealt with before you steal something worth a lot more money and do jail time for it. Three times very unlucky.

First no this is your first offense, ( unless you do something stupid like tell the police about he first time) The first time if not on any record so this is the first time.

It will be a large fine, most likely probation, and perhaps a civil penalty from the store also.
