reporting crime

What is the statute of limitations on reporting armed robbery? In SK some robberies were commited-probably about 25-30yrs ago, dont think anyone was ever hurt or harmed but a gun was used. Is this still reportable and what would likely happen to those who committed them? It was another lifetime and they are totally not those kind of people, no offences committed since...
thanks for any advice.

Hello too:

I think what you mean is ARMED ROBBERS - not armed robbery. The armed robbery was most likely reported when it happened. That starts the statute of limitations. If nobody is charged within that time frame (whatever it is), then nobody CAN be charged.

Since I don't know where SK is, I couldn't tell you what the statute of limitations is for that jurisdiction. It's probably no more than 5 years.

Therefore, if they get snitched on, NOTHING will happen.

If, however, someone WAS hurt, that statute might not toll, and they could be in trouble.
