    Probation? / Probation Travel
I'll try to keep this short but,
This is regarding the state of New York
My Boyfriend, 15 years old was charged with possession of under 5g of marijuana. This was his first offense, so he is not being charged in juvenile court, but he is required to meet with a probation officer, but as more of a councilor. I would just like to know, will he be put on probation, or what will be the most likely outcome of this meeting?

Also, we have a trip planned for Texas, August 17th, do you think it is likely he will still be able to travel?

I would just like to know all of the possibilities
    Thank you

Most likely probation, I would not buy any tickets that are not refundable, I doubt he will be traveling that soon.

Does anyone else have any other opinions??
Oh and it is a "Juvenile Probation Councilor" that he is meeting with
I'm not sure if this changes any of the possible outcomes

I'm on probation and the only way I can travel is if I can do drug tests and breathalyzers wherever I am staying at

I agree with Chuck on him not being able to travel right now. Don't buy any tickets until you are sure he's able to leave the state. Be sure he has prior written permission to leave the state and for him to have this paperwork on his person at all times while he is out of the state just in case he is stopped for any reason. He should not leave the state even if it's just for overnight travel without proper paperwork.
