on probation for passing bad checks

If on probation for passing bad checks can i move to another state? I owe money to the state of Missouri, for the fees of passing bad checks and court costs. Would it be possible to move to another state while I am on mistaminner probation. I am on probation for 2 years. I am wanting to miove to another state for teh opportunity to make a better life for my 2 children. I will have a job in the state I am wanting to move to as soon as I get there so I will be able to pay off the fees that I owe in another state with no problem. I just need a chance to make my life better for me and my children. I am not trying to run from the trouble, I am just wanting to make a life so that I can pay off the debt that I owe in the state of Missouri.

I dont really think you can move out of state while on probation, although your intentions are good. I suggest you talk this over with your probation officer before making any plans.

Most jurisdictions will not allow you to relocate until the fines and fees have been paid in full and you have completed the term of the probation.

Your probation officer will be the one with the answer you are looking for.

Its possible you could transfer your probation to another state. But, as noted, your PO is the person to discuss this with.

You will have to talk to the PO, they will also have to let you see the rule book on this if you ask. But if you have been making payments and have a plan to pay back, they may let you transfer the probation. But both your state and the other state will have to agree
