    I need to move what do I do
    I know I'm on probation and my time is almost up and of corse I still owe restitution it is a judgement for the victim 17500 I still have 4000 dollars to go I guess what I'm wanting to know is I'm homeless right now I'm staying with a friend for the mean time and I have had a job offer in london Ohio and I'm in Texas I relly want to know if the judge will allow me to move to Ohio and just continue to pay restitution from Ohio there is just nothing in Texas for me anymore I relly need to go to where the money is or how do I go about bringing it up to the judge

    There is a sticky on the criminal law page with a lot of good info on it.

    Basically you don't ask the judge you ask the probation officer that you are assigned under, they have rules and policies for transfers. It can take some time to get it approved, so you need to get it started.

    Next of course your probation will most likely get extended in time if the money is not paid, and of course they can always throw you in jail for not paying the money back.

    So you need to be talking to your probation officer about all of this
