| | | international travel while on probation
I have a passport that I can travel out of Country. I am on probation. Can I still travel out of country while on probation without getting permisson from probation officer.

| If you do this you will be violating your probation. You need to get prior written permission from your probation officer before you can even legally leave your state let alone the country. You will probably be stopped at the airport after they run your name in the computer and held at a local jail until you are transferred to the county where your probation is and await your probation violating hearing while incarcerated. It's not advised that you do this. |

| you can, and you can be arrested and put back in jail if your PO finds out.
You can not even travel outside of your state without thier permission.

NOW you have a passport?????? Dude! They don't work that fast.
No wonder you're on probation. You even lie to the people who are trying to help you. Stick your questions where the sun don't shine.

| I would suggest that you ask your PO, if you are not convicted of a felony or violent crime and have been on good behavior, then it is possible to get permission. I know the restrictions on travel and believe me you will be stopped once they run your passport. I helped to form some of those laws. You also have to contact the country where you are planning on traveling to. Many countries have restrictions that you are not aware of and forms that will need to be filed before travel. | |
