    Hello s:

    If he's in jail, 72 hours. If he's not, the SOL, depending on how much the theft is, is probably two or three years.

    If you believe the OP was talking about a major offense, you'd be right... I, however, think he was talking about shoplifting. The SOL could even be LESS than I suggested.

    Ok. I guess that means I have to look those sections up.

    § 3929. Retail theft.
    § 3929.1. Library theft.
    § 3929.2. Unlawful possession of retail or library theft
    instruments.
    § 3929.3. Organized retail theft.
    § 3930. Theft of trade secrets.
    § 3931. Theft of unpublished dramas and musical compositions.
    § 3932. Theft of leased property.
    § 3933. Unlawful use of computer (Repealed)."

    Retail theft constitutes a:
    ...
    (v) Felony of the third degree when the amount
    Involved exceeds $2,000 or if the merchandise involved is
    A firearm or a motor vehicle.
    ...
    A felony is serious.

    It is, but you again assume that this particular "retail theft" is synonymous with how the law words the crime of "retail theft". But, I'll bet they have a category somewhere for petty theft, which is what I still believe the OP is accused of doing... That should be a misdemeanor.

    Im accused of stwaling $9000 from the jib they called me in the office fired me held made me wait for cops tgan ket me go and sd they were pressing charges and I would get a letter in the mail that was on 11/17,haven't heard nothing so now what is going to happen
