How to drop an order of protection

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, we now have a 2 month daughter together. Last may we had this big fight and I got so mad at him I put a restraining order on him. I dropped it in June. Now there is a Order of Protection on him and now we can't see so at all. Can I drop this and how? He is not harmless what so ever and I would like his daughter to be part of his life. I love very much

You can drop your protective order at any point during the year that it is in effect. If you choose to drop your protective order before the final hearing, you must still go to the scheduled hearing. When your case is called, you may explain to the judge why you are dropping your protective order.

If you choose to drop your protective order after the final hearing, you need to go to the courthouse where it was issued. Explain to the clerk that you would like to drop your order. The clerk will bring you in to see a judge, and you will be asked to tell the judge why you want your protective order dropped. This might happen in the courtroom, or in judge's chambers.

There was an order protection issued for my daughter and I, for my daughters father which he just recently got locked up may 1, 2010. For his sister blaming him for something he never convicted. They put an order protection out with out me asking. Is there anything I can do about this order protection that I don't want? Because I want him to see his daughter still.

You don't drop it because you didn't issue it. Only the Court can drop a Protective Order.

There was a recent arrest in my area (within the past week) because a person had a Protective Order, ignored it and was seen in the presence of the person she had the order against.

He was arrested for contacting her and she was arrested for being in contact with him despite the Order. The Judge took the position that her initial application was frivilous and a waste of the Court's time. I don't know how it will play out.

I placed one on my husband back in September. We went to court in October and the Judge made it permanent without even asking or saying anything to me. I did not want it permanent. I want to drop it so how do I drop the order if the judge has already signed it as permanent?

You don't drop it - you didn't place it against him.

When you filed the papers for an order didn't anyone explain to you that once you file it's permanent and out of your hands?
