First offence shoplifting from walmart... over 18... what will happen?
I was caught shoplifting a laptop at walmart about 2 weeks ago... they gave me a blue slip with a court date on it... I have stole from walmart before but never got caught... so I'm just wondering what will happen because I have heard that walmart will do everything they can to convict people... so I'm really worried about them finding out about everything else... what should I expect?

Hopefully prosecution to the fullest extent of the law! The mere fact that you've done it before leads me to believe you have zero remorse. Folks like you drive up the costs for folks like me.

I expect they will probably charge you with theft and issue a sentence. What that is, is up to the judge, but I would just quit shoplifting if I were you.

Its nearly xmas. They are possibly too busy to check back logs of cctv. Just go to court and act professional and sensible and it'll get dismissed. Do you work? X

This was originally posted almost a month ago. The OP never returned to respond. We don't know when the court date was for. He stated he was "caught", which means they probably have proof whether on tape or by security guards as witnesses. Please read the posts carefully before you respond with more inaccuracies.
