EX-Roommate threw away mail

I found out that an old room mate that I lived with in Aug. of 06 has been throwing away my mail. I did a change of address, but the change of address is only good for so many days. I had a warrant put out on my for a failure to appear and found out that the letter was sent to his address. This man has threatened my life and the life of my fiance, he tells us that my fiance owe's him 600 dollars and said if he ever see's us again that he would take is out of us in anyway possible. My fiance left his job, and the county to get away from this man.

Is there anything I can do about this?

A change of address submitted to the United States Post Office is good for 12 months. It is your responsibility to contact interested parties with your new address.

well then something is wrong because I did a change of address due to his anger toward me and my family, how it never showed I here I don't know. I called the courts and they were sure it went there.

if you want to be sure that VERY IMPORTANT MAIL APPEARS AT THE RIGHT ADDRESS, then there is no excuse not to make the effort for that to happen. We are given many opportunities, all we have to do is use them. Over the years, I have moved several times, taken care of business and never lost a piece of mail yet (that is through the Canada Post), but it works both ways.

What other things is there to do to insure that mail is delivered to the right address other then doing a change of address? I made it a point to do a change of address to everyone, other then the court! If I knew I would have to go to the court house to change it I would have!
