Does my expunged record for larceny misdemeanor show up on my background check?
My employer is about doing background check including FBI fingerprinting…I currently work for the company which is a bank, but since being employed I was involved in an incident that ended up with me being accused of taking a 13.69 item cold medicine and saline nose drops from the grocery store year 2010. I had never been in trouble with the police prior to this whole mess. I'm scared and asking for help due to me going to a cognitive behavior class the judge dismissed the charge, then I got it expunged….I was never arrested no prints were taken, I was just issued a citation once the police showed up at the grocery store this all happened in that state of NC. I'm asking that once I submit my background check consent forms and give them my prints will any of this show up? It was expunged but I've heard stories that nothing is really expunged…

Yes, ALL arrests no matter the disposition will appear on a FBI background check. The Feds have access to records other background checks do not show.

You say you were never arrested. You HAD to be arrested or you would not have appeared before a Judge.

A ticket to appear is in lieu of an arrest - if that's what happened.

If they never took your fingerprints - which you appear to think is the case - of course no fingerprints will turn up.

Will the arrest? Yes, depending on the type of background check.

EDIT: This sounded vaguely familiar so I checked. Yes, you've asked and I've answered before. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/crimin...ge-616218.html At that time you did not return to provide information which was necessary in order to give you a 100% on target, correct answer. I also explained at that time that you WERE, in fact, arrested - contrary to what you've posted here.

Maybe you are panicking. Maybe it's something else. I don't know. Please stop opening new threads.
