Criminal Records

I wanted get a clarification on what will show up if an potential employer was to do a criminal search.

If I was charged with an indictable offence, but have not been found guilty and is still in the process of the courts, will this show up on the criminal history background check?

What if the charges are dismissed, will there still be a record of any charges being made. It would really suck if one was charged, dismissed and it will still show up on your criminal record.

Oh and this is in Canada

Thanks

Red,

The indictable offence will NOT show up on your record since you have not been convicted of it.

Once you are convicted (if you are), then it will show up, not before.

If the charges are dismissed, then it will never show on your record, since you were never convicted.
