Charged with Theft Over 5,000
hello everyone...
i know someone who was arrested for theft of $200,000 but being charged with theft over $ 5,000 im just curious what the charges would be from the lowest to highest

I think Canada just defines two levels under $5K and over $5K

Scott is right.
In Canada, you can either be charged with theft under 5,000 or theft over 5,000.
In terms of the amount actually stolen, will depend on the punishment (for example, stealing 6,000 is not as bad as stealing 200,000)
