I'm former US Customs, blah, blah, blah.

You cannot enter Canada (which, incidentally, is a privilege, not a right) with a conviction which would be a felony in Canada. For example, if you were charged with a misdemeanor in the US (which I understand is not the case) but would have been charged with a felony for the same thing in Canada you CANNOT enter.

In your case, I'd say you cannot enter.

My name is Kimberly, I have visited Canada many times to go snowboarding at Whistler.

But in early 2008, I Bounced a personal check ( my account) and because of the amount and it being a post_dated check, I got in trouble for the first time in my life. I have a felonly now for this, it shows up as theft. But they told me I could have it removed after 5 years.

My question is? Can I enter Canada if I write a letter to the Minister?

Im a good girl, who just messed up her finances for a bit
    MY FAULT

    Thank you.

A US felony is the same to Canada as a Canadian felony. And, no, you don't write the Prime Minister and ask permission to enter Canada. Presumably he has other things to worry about.

You can apply to Canadian Immigration for a waiver, but they are rarely granted.

"They" said you could have "it" removed after 5 years - what does that mean?

(I'm ex-US Homeland Security, worked out of Toronto for a while.)
