You would not have a conviction on your record without goping to court and being found guilty. It doesn't work that way. They can not charge you for the drinks but they can sue you. They'd have a very hard time proving you personnally drank $900 worth of drinks. Ignore them and look into your criminal record, you should not have an arrest or a conviction unless that happened to you and you'd recall that, right?

Apparently you admitted to some level of theft by agreeing to pay for 10 drinks. I would consult an attorney but tell me excatly what you mean by your work history, is it the levl of background checking that does not go into criminal charges?

Apparently they CAN do this because they have. The question now is what can you do about it?

I'd consult with an Attorney - I am amazed that an accusation appears on your work record (whatever that is).
