Can bond be posted?

If one is found guilty for a class c or d felony in the state of Indiana, are you booked and sent to jail at that time? Also, will a bond automaticly be placed and can you post bond at that time until sentencing?

It depends on the case whether bond will be placed, if they think you're a flight risk, and other things are factors.

Hello s:

If one is already out on bail, the bail could be continued till sentencing or it could be revoked. It depends on the judge. If one is NOT out on bail, he's not entitled to bail now.

There might be an appeal bond available down the road after (or if) an appeal is filed, but that is very rare.

Hello again, s:

And, if I was the judge, I'd let him stay out. But, it's HIM you have to convince - not me.

PS> By the way, once he's found guilty, he's no longer an "alleged suspect". He's a convicted felon.
