Burg. But no charges pressed

I know some on that broke into someone's house and stole some pills. The home owner calls the police and they started investigating but he decided not to press charges. Now the home owner is holding it over my friends head and trying to make him do everything he says to do or he will call and have him arrested. How long can he do this? Will he be able to press charges for the rest of my friends life? My friend is so scared that what ever the guy tells him to do he does it. Please help cause this is crazy.

Your friend has to go to the police, admit he stole, and tell them the owner of the house is blackmailing him this way. Otherwise, this could go on forever.

Or wait until the SOL for burglary runs. As this will not go on forever.

I've been dating my boyfriend for 7 months now and I without a doubt know that I'm in love with him. But he's 19 and I'm 16.
