BAD CHECK IN MD UNDER $300 on a check older than 2 years old be prosecuted

There were some checks writen in md on a closed account under $300 to a store, they were cleared in a bankruptcy, but never cleared through the store.

The question

Can criminal charges be filed in md on a check older than 2years old if they were written on a closed account

can criminal charges be filed on any check filed older than a year under $300.

what if you have made a payment arrangement and they accepted partial payment can they file charges?

Hello f:

The statute of limitations depends on the charges they'll be bringing. Criminal charges have to do with the act. Bankruptcy and/or payments you may have made or they may have accepted have nothing to do with the criminal act itself.

If they're charging you, you're going to either hire an attorney or one will be appointed. He'll for sure know about the statute of limitations.

But, the cops know about it too, and they're not going bring charges that they know will be dismissed.
