My girlfriend is taking an accounting class here in South Carolina.Her school did a background check and it came up that she has an arrest warrant back at her home state of Delaware.She called Delaware to see what the warrant was for and it was done by a company that she worked for over eight years ago.She did not know anything about the warrant and she left her job on good terms.The company wants about 12,000 bucks that they say she stole from them. She has tried to call the ex company to see what is going on and they have been out of business for quite a few years.What should she do in order to get this fixed. We are engaged and we are living in my home State which is South Carolina.Does this carry some kind of stature of limitations?

Once charged there is no statue of limitation, she will need to hire an attorney and needs to arrange bail. She goes and turns herself in, gets out on bail. Then her attorney will work at trying to get this dismissed if there is no witness against her.

There is no way to clear this up without going though the court.
