first time shopliftimg
I was arrested for first time shop lifting at target of stuff worth 400$, it has been concluded as a misdemeanor and have been given a court date. there is only two days left now for my court date and i havent got an attorney for it .i am extremely worried what will happen at court ?
I am not legal misdemeanor i am afraid will they depot me for this crime??

no, the courts do not deport you for this, in fact unless your local police are certified and trained and have gotten written permission for the INS, they can't even detain you for being illegal. ( stupid federal laws)

illegals go into court, even get jail time and then are just released, seldom held for INS. So most likely you will get probation and a fine to pay.
