Im 16 and Live In Ohio the age of consent in Ohio is 16 and I have a relationship with a 25 year old man I love him with my all my heart. But my mother wants to put him in jail for having sex with me.Can she put him in jail even though Im at age of consent?

She can't have him arrested on statutory rape since you are 16 years old.

However, if she tells him to stay away from you and he doesn't, she could have him charged with interfering with a minor.

There are others on this board who are more familiar with the latter, but under no circumstance can she have him charged for having sex with you since you are 16.

No, he can not be charged with rape, but there are dozen of other charges if you and he are told not to see each other.

Interfering with the custody of a minor, contibutoring to the deliquency of a minor, if he comes to your parents property, tresspassing.
And of course they can just lie ( as a parent I would if my child was dating a grown man) and say he threatened them, or more.
And guess who the police will believe, the poor parents trying to protect their child from this sexual preditor or the sexual preditor.

And I am sorry but that is what he is, it may be "legal" but a 25 year old has no business with a 16 year old.
