I agree, it would be considered a person with a mental disability killing themself.

Just because a person with disassociative disorder kills themselves doesn't make it murder. A person with this disorder should be under the care of professionals. It's a very sad situation for some of these people and suicide may seem like their only option.

multiple personalities exist within a single persons mind. therefore because they are a part of that person then they would still see it as suicide.

Very good question!!
It's still called a suicide by Police Reports, etc.
It's also called suicide by many web sites, reporting on Multiple Personalities, saying these persons usually have a high rate of "suicide", not "homicide", as this link points out:
