husband in jail

my husband just got arrested tonight for stealing and is charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property. is there a way he could get out of jail with a "release on one's own recognizace" where you sign a paper saying that you'll make it to court. Or will he definitely have to pay a bond/bail. what can i do to help him? we have absolutely no money right now.

Is it a first offense/arrest? Were there any weapons or drugs involved? Have any actual charges been pressed yet? These and other factors come into play when deciding whether or not one can be released on one's own recognizance.

Almost for sure he will have a bond set. If you use a bail bondsmen it will cost about 10 percent of the bond, also in some areas you can use your home ( if you own it) to place the bond

Hello hot:

Sorry bout the lateness - I been outta town.

What the court cares about is whether he'll show up in court. What it takes to convince him, would be family ties to a community, a job in the community, support from people in that community. If he shows up at his bail hearing with THAT, he'll be released OR.
