how to tell the time of death?

i want to set up a FAKE csi miami crime set for my mom to solve, but we dont know how to tell the time of death, please help. thank you, person.

it depends on the temperature of the body the colder it is d longer its been dead
d warmer it is d shorter its been dead
if the body has gone into riger(rigermortis) which is when the bones harden that means d body has ben dead a while

it will be very hard to do this IF it is FAKE
