Removing paid collections

Is there a way to have a paid collection removed from my credit report without waiting the 7 years? The collection has been paid for 2 years, but the collection agency keeps reporting the the credit bureaus. It's odd they always report it paid, but it just keeps extending the 7 years. I've asked them to stop. I can't dispute the information because it's right.

The 7 years refers to when the account was satisifed or closed. So their continued reporting shouldn't extend the time frame. But if the info is correct they can keep it on the report.

Hello shelley:

The only way it WILL come off, is if you dispute it. You say "it's right". But, did you look at the entry IN ITS ENTIRETY??? Are the dates correct??? Is your name spelled right?? Is the entry correct in every single aspect???? My guess is, that it isn't. Therefore, it isn't “RIGHT”. In fact, it's WRONG. Consequently, I would dispute it.

PS> If you get the sense that I’m looking for technicalities, you’re right.
