credit report: can I dispute +7 years "closed by credit grantor"?

I have a few questions that are somewhat related:

1. Like the title says, can I dispute a +7 years entry (1998) in my credit history, which is marked as "closed by credit grantor"? (The account was paid off and there is a 0 balance).

2. If I can dispute this, do I just point out in my dispute letter that these entries are over 7 years old and therefore obsolete (there are about 3 - I was in college, poor, and sought help with CCCS)?

3. These same entries appear under "satisfactory accounts". Does this mean that whether or not these items get removed, the removal will not impact my score?

Thanks for any help. I've been reading a lot on improving my score, etc, but this particular issue is unclear to me.
