New Credit Card

I recently got a credit card offer through an email I received from my Mileage Card. I have not had a credit card for over 9 years. So I figured what the heck. But to give my self a better chance on getting this card I added a suffix to my name. I got approved. But while answering some questions on-line something happened to the internet connection and the page was no longer available. Figuring everything was lost I went back and filled out all the information again from the beginning but this time without the suffix added to my name. I got approved again, but I would need to call because them “they needed additional information” from me. I gave up and figured I was not getting the card. 4 days later I got an index card in the mail asking me to call so I can provide additional information. I threw it out. 2 days later to my surprise I got the credit card in the mail. The card I got was from my 1st try when I added the suffix to my name. The index card requesting more information did not have a suffix. I’m concerned now that I may have made a typo with my SS# or something got crossed and they made a mistake. Not sure what to do.

Nothing you really have to do. If you were legally entitled to use the suffix then you did nothing wrong. Just ignore the request for more info.

It sounds like you accidentally applied twice, you could call and say you already got the credit card but tdue to an internet error you think you applied twice.

It's not like you can get in trouble for it, blame the compy!

If the 2nd card comes through, cancel it or just don't activate it they all have a 800 # you have to call before it can be used. It is not good to have lots of "open" accounts even if you have no balance one them so just close old accounts or new ones you wont use.
