Court Date for Credit Card Debt

I'm being assigned to have a court day for the credit cards debt (2004). I'm willing to pay what my original credit limit was. But the creditors are suing me triple the amount that my credit limit was. What should I do? Thank you in advance.

go to court, but remember if by the contract and if allowed by state law, they can get late fees, over balance fees, collectioin fees and legal fees plus court fees.

So triple is a bit high, but double is normal

Call them ahead of the court date and try to negotiate a settlement and pay them off before it goes to court.
