Buying a New House

My husband and I are looking into buying his grandmother's house which needs a lot of work before we can even move in. Is there anything that we can do to finance the purchase of the home and the renovations while at the same time paying on the mortgage of our current home so that we can live there while the new home is being renovated without being totally broke at the same time? ???
