work performed and not paid by the company

i'm selfemployed and theres a two companies that i did some work for them and they have not yet paid me for my permit expediting service. what can i do ?

This is very commom with small business owners, how long has it been, have you sent them a 30 day, a 60 day and a 90 day late notice.

It is sadly commom for businesses to pay in 60 and 90 days or worst.
So you have not mentioned how late these are. Next of course you can sue them if they just don't pay.
