Uncooked flaky biscuits

I have a recipe from a website called 'Epicurious' and I need 'purchased biscuit dough' also referred to as 'purchased refrigerated uncooked large flaky biscuits'. There's no way I'll be able to buy it where I'm living. Can anyone tell me how to make this. The actual recipe is for Baked apple, raisin and brown sugar dumplings.

Flaky Biscuits

4 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. crisco shortening (vegetable shortening)
1 1/2 c. milk

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt . Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and work dough just until dry ingredients are well moistened and dough forms a ball. Roll out, not too thick, and cut biscuits
