Arm & Hammer seems to be a monopoly with baking soda. Is there another quality brand besides that?

You may be right about Arm & Hammer baking Soda -- sodium bicarbonate

I have a box of it here that is Sure Fine brand -- but I'm not so sure that

they actually make their own... I says it is distributed by Topco Associates LLC

Index -- but I still question if they don't have someone like

Arm & Hammer box it for them???
