melon paste?

Does anyone know how to make melon paste? I want to make a japanese bread called melonpan (melon bread) and I wanted to add melon paste to it (put it in between the bread part and the cookie part). I have searched all over the net and cant find anything useful. I was hoping someone here could help me ^_^

Thanks for at least looking

Maybe this will help...involve more than melon mashing lol!
One website suggested this recipe, but i'm not sure how the melon plays a part...
Pastry flour 220g
Sugar 120g
Butter 66g
Egg 62g

Yeah, I thought that too! Although the last ingredient on the first recipe is 'a little bit of melon extract' ... maybe you could substitute that with LOTS of mashed up melon?! he he!
