I have a recipie that calls for gelatin. However, I am alergic to gelatin. The recipie is for a mousse. Is there anything I can use instead? ? Thank you!

Re: gelatin substitute
Well, I found a solution. I just used twice the amount of pectin. Eg: the recipie called for 1 tblsp of gelatin, so I used 2 tblsp pectin. I worked great

Substitude for geltine
Try 'agar agar'. You 'll find it in a Chinese or Indian shop.
