sliding glass door stuck

Does anyone have any good tips on getting a sliding glass door open? It is a Pella, it's most likely around 15 years old, it's still in great shape. The problem is that, the latch has broken in the locked position, I have tried sticking a srewdriver in the hole and turning the latch, no luck. Anyone have any advice?

Sorry, telling you how to open a locked door is inviting all kinds of trouble.

In the inside you probably have a set screw holding the handle on and one holding the lock knob on. Loosen and remove the handle and knob. Remove the screws holding the face plate on. Remove face plate and insert screwdriver in locking mechanism to unlock.
Could it be that the foot latch located on the threshold is what's locking the door?

hvacservicetech_07 agrees: thanks, I ended up prying the door open.
