    Replacement cost for building.

    What type of building, what location,

    Single family one story homes in my area are figured at about 10 dollars a square foot for replacement cost estimating for insurance costs.

    Yes... the type of construction (wood frame, masonry, etc.) makes a big difference. Here in Southern California the cost for a wooden frame residence starts at about $80 per square foot.
