I have a 14 x16 foot 9" thick cement patio with tiles on it. I want to make it into a sunroom. Right now the floor is sloped away from the house and the difference from the house to the edge of the patio is at least 3 1/2 inches sloped downward for drainage.

I looked into leveling compound but the cost to do that large of an area is cost prohibitive. Is there a good method of doing it. I was told if I used bevelled wooden floor sleepers to correct the slope, there would be too little air space beneath without ventilation and the wood would eventually rot.

Has anyone corrected something like this or does anyone have some ideas?

We had a patio that did the same thing.
We tunneled under it and used jacks to bring it up where we wanted it.
Then we braced it up with bricks filled in the hole we dug.
No more problems.

Where would the moisture be coming from to rot out your sleepers? Would this be a weather tight sunroom? If it is, you can always put a vapor barrier between the patio and sleepers if your worried about moisture coming off the concrete.

Concrete coatings companies do this sort of thing all the time. Also, you can rent a mixer and get the acrylic polymer mix and white portland and do it yourself. Attach two boards along the slab and one at the end like a form then and screed it to level.
