    Painting new sheetrock
    I just finished drywalling my basement. What are my next steps for painting?

    After sanding smooth,you prime,then paint..

    OR,you can texture to many different surfaces.

    By just finished drywalling have you already finished the joints? If so all you need to do is prime and paint.

    By the way tinted primer is a great way to cut down on the number of coats of paint needed for good coverage. Especially helpful on new drywall or over bold colors.
