    Total width of building = 51'
    Length of ceiling joist (run of the rafter) 51/2 = 25' 6"
    Height of ridge with 6/12 pitch (rise of rafter) = 12" 9"
    Square root of A squared plus B squared = C squared
    Length of rafter =28' 6"
