That depend a lot on the type of house you have, brick, brick veinier, frame. What's the outside material, what type of molding do you have on the exterior, brick mold? You can purchase premade door frames kits, or you can make your own. How thick is you walls. Best to build the frame and install the door in it and the set as a unit. You have to cut the mortices for the hinges even if you purchase the frame kit. Getting the distances between the hinges is the critical part but I have a way for you to do that. I highly recommend adjustable thresholds. Please give a little more information.
