writing files on CD writ

when i write files on the CD writer a window is opened telling me that there is no disc in the drive while i was put the CD in the drive please i need help

A. If you have more than one CD drive, you may have put the CD in the incorrect drive.

B. Your CD drive may just be getting old and may have trouble detecting a writable CD.

I sometimes have the same problem that you have. The CD drive on my computer that I use to burn CD's is old. Sometimes I have to try many times to get it to detect a CD. Oftentimes when I restart my computer, the problem will be fixed.

I know that this may not solve your problem. But, it is worth a try, and based upon my experience with having the same problem.
