Wipe out my computer and reboot.

So as of two days ago I have a couple diff viruses. I need to know how to wipe out my computer and just redue the entire thing. My computer came preinstalled, and I have no disks to go along with it. I have emachines, Windows XP. Is there anyway that someone can help me?

On some computers the reinstall disks are stored on the computer when you buy it, and you must burn them to disk yourself. Did you buy the omputer from a retail store "or" ? -- Savage

Are you sure you want to re-install XP for removing viruses? Why cant you trace the viruses with good AV softwares?

If you still want to re-install then you need the installation CD. As mentioned by TheSavage some computers will have the installation files saved in the system which you have to burn to the CD. If it is not saved in the system then you have to get the CD.

Ok I bought McAfee and I was able to remove a lot of cookies that we bad, but I can't figure out how to remove the Trojans. They are in Quarantine , but how do I remove them, and if that doesn't work how do I burn the CD that is my "backup"?

You should be able to go into the Quarantine area and remove what's there. Did you try reading McAfee Help?
