Web Cam on XP

I am trying to install my webcam onto XP and when loading I get an error saying ' The file "omcam USD.D11" on dual mode PC camera driver disk is needed'

I have the installation disk so is there something on XP I need to change?

The cam (cheap one) is a spacecam200 from itrust.

Re: Web Cam on XP

G'day

Now have you tried manually installing the hardware? If not go into your control panel, select add/remove hardware, then select let PC scan for new devices, then It shud pick up your camera if its connected, otherwise you'll have to go back and choose select hardware from list go into cameras, point to the port the camera's plugged into n then select install drivers, select have disk, insert the cd that you got with the camera, follow the rest of the prompts and install your drivers from your cd.

If that doesn't work mate its ya camera. Or it mite not be compatible.

Regards~

Re: Web Cam on XP

Thanks, will try and let you know. If all else fails I guess I'll just have to buy a new camera that is XP compatable.
